Massage Therapies

Swedish Massage
Designed to promote relaxation, improve circulation, relieve muscle tension and
reduce stress. Swedish Massage includes long strokes on the superficial layers of
muscles combined with active and passive movement of the joint.

Aromatherapy Massage
Aromatherapy relies on pure essential oils that are extracted from plants.  When used during a massage they help to relax, balance, rejuvenate and enhance physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.  A relaxing aromatherapy massage, for instance, might have lavender or bergamot, while a massage for sore muscles might include peppermint and eucalyptus.

Deep Tissue
Deep Tissue Massage is used to release chronic muscle tension using slower
strokes and more direct deep pressure.

Trigger Point Therapy
Applies concentrated finger pressure to "trigger points" (painful irritated areas of
spasm and pain in muscles).

Stretching/Sports Massage
Based on Swedish massage, incorporating a wide range of techniques such as deep tissue,
compression, cross fiber, trigger point therapy, and stretching.

Pregnancy Massage
Relaxing and soothing strokes are used to help alleviate the stress and strains of

childbearing. Excellent for backaches and edema. Helps to increase the flow of
oxygen, blood and nutrients to both mother and child.

Foot Reflexology

A pressure point massage targeting the feet. Each area of the foot that is massaged
eases tension throughout the body resulting in reducing stress, pain and promoting
relaxation.

Amma
Hand and finger pressure is used to stimulate pressure points along the meridians of the
body. No oils are used.

Acupressure

A traditional Chinese medicine technique based on the same ideas as acupuncture.
acupressure involves placing physical pressure by hand or elbow on different
acupuncture points on the surface of the body.

Hot Stone
A unique massage technique using hot basalt stones to relax sore muscles, relive stiff
joints and increase circulation throughout the body. With a moderate pressure, the
deep penetration of heat combined with stones placed on energy points with result in a
state of calm, yet rejuvenated balance of energy.

Customized Massage

There are many different techniques in massage. My massages are a blend of the above
including energy work, stretching, breathing exercises, all catered to the individual's
needs.
